Enhancing Logistics Connectivity & Resilience - Asia (ELC-A)
Embark on a learning journey with NUS TLI-AP ASIAN Series, an executive-level study tour to Manila, a pivotal hub in Philippine's regional logistics network. This program is supported by the Department of Trade and Industry, Republic of the Philippines and Department of the Interior and Local Government, Republic of the Philippines and other key partners including Asian Institute of Management, Ayala Corporation, Bureau of Fire Protection, C&U Philippines Inc, Philippines Public Service College, and SM & 2GO Group Inc.
This program offers a deep dive into Asia's dynamic logistics landscape and a great opportunity to meet leaders and key decision makers driving the future of interconnected supply chains in the Philippines and Asia, understand their perspectives and how Singapore based organizations can leverage this learning to design and build transformative supply chains.
The program also aims to equip participants with an understanding of Asia business climate, provides insights into logistics and supply chain landscape, challenges and its development, identifies potential advance applications in Singapore and business opportunity in the wider region.
This is the second immersive study journey TLI-AP NUS is partnering with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and leading organisations in Philippines and Singapore to bring together Singaporeans, PRs, residents (mid to senior level executives) and their counterparts in the Philippines to study the logistics infrastructure and operations in a city of great prominence.

Module Outline:
- The 3-day programme will comprise panel discussions, lectures & talks, site visits facilitated by senior executives, and a half-day assessment session
Course Objectives:
- Understanding the Business Climate
Equip participants with an understanding of the business environment in ASEAN, with a focus on the Philippines
- Insights into Philippines Logistics
Provide detailed insights, examine current challenges and ongoing developments in Indonesia logistics from top executives, leading academics and relevant government agencies.
- Leverage Logistics Connectivity
Engage in practical learning through interactive sessions and expert-facilitated visits to state-of-the-art logistics and supply chain facilities in Manila, gain insights into operational practices, and technological advancements to enhance efficiency in the supply chain.
- Cultivate Connections
Build relationships with peers in the Philippines.

4 Eligible organisations (excluding government entities) may apply for the absentee payroll funding* for Singaporean/permanent resident participants attending the programme during working hours. The absentee payroll funding is computed at 80% of hourly basic salary capped at $4.50 per hour or $7.50 per hour for SME. 6 NTUC Training Fund (SEPs)* – All self-employed (i.e. freelancers and sole-proprietors-with-no-employee) Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are eligible to apply for the NTUC Training Fund (SEPs) from NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).
