On 2 Feb 2026, we had the pleasure of sharing The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific serious gaming initiatives with the National University of Singapore MSc SCM LI5101 class.
Through The Grain Trail, one of our online multiplayer games, students experienced firsthand the complexity and challenges of managing a rice supply chain.
Taking on roles as farmers, middlemen, wholesalers, retailers, and government, students worked in groups to simulate four parallel supply chains — navigating trade-offs, coordination, and real-world challenges.
The session was highly engaging and lively, and we hope students walked away with a deeper appreciation of the complexities faced by different stakeholders in the rice supply chain.
