Job Description

The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific (TLI-AP) is collaboration between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) for research and education programs in global logistics. This collaboration provides joint logistics expertise which caters to the logistics needs of the industries across the world today focusing on global logistics, information technology, industrial engineering and supply chain management.

TLI-AP is currently looking for a Research Fellow focusing on the System (Web) Developer role for the enhanced CLML project. He/She should possess expertise in data management and systems architecture to perform the following:

  • focus on developing web applications
  • design, update and maintenance of the web application
  • work with other team members for a precise business analysis
  • apply security patches to the web application
  • troubleshoot and debug applications
  • ensure integration with other applications

Qualifications

  • PhD in Information Science & Technology or Computer Science and/or relevant discipline
  • full stack developer experience
  • computer science background
  • Some work experience is good
  • Fresh PhD with relevant expertise is also welcome

 

Research Position

Job Description
Reporting to the Director (Industry Research), you will conduct research related to last mile logistics and will be required to interface with external collaborators. You will be expected to present results and outcomes, prepares reports, white papers, use cases and/or academic articles for dissemination. Other duties on research will be determined and assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications for Research Fellow:

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management or a related technical/engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years relevant post doc experience
  • Some background in simulation, statistics, optimization, and modelling.
  • Self-driven, excellent analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills, and a dependable team player who works well with immediate and extended team.
  • Some experience in design and development of software platforms and API’s will be good.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • At least a Bachelor degree trained in Data Science, Computer Science, AI. Master degree preferred.
  • Some experience in deep simulation.
  • Self-driven, excellent analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills, and a dependable team player who works well with immediate and extended team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
