TLI-ALC-I : Envisioning ASEAN Logistics Connectivity: Indonesia

On 15th July 2024, Professor Bernard Tan C. Y., Senior Vice Provost, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chairman of the Advisory Board, The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific (TLI-AP), officially launched the inaugural SkillsFuture SG Singapore-funded “Envisioning ASEAN Logistics Connectivity: Indonesia” programme in Jakarta, Indonesia, in partnership with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia , and supported by PSA Corporation Limited, PT. Cikarang Inland Port, and the Global Supply Chain Leadership Alliance. (Please see link for speech by Prof Bernard Tan)

The official launch was held at CMEA and attended by the Guest of Honour, His Excellency Dr Ali Murtopo Simbolon, Deputy Minister for Commerce and Industry, CMEA, and other dignitaries including His Excellency Suryo Pratomo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, and His Excellency Kwok Fook Seng, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore in Indonesia.

Over a 3-day period from 15th – 18th July 2024, close to 50 Singaporean and Indonesian programme participants went on learning visits to the New Priok Container Terminal 1, Cikarang Dry Port, The ASEAN Secretariat, and attended panel discussions and talks. TLI-AP would like to extend the deepest appreciation to all the distinguished industry experts and thought leaders, who have generously given their time to share knowledge and experience with the participants (please see link of e-brochure for the list of speakers).

This inaugural SkillsFuture Singapore-funded “Envisioning ASEAN Logistics Connectivity: Indonesia” programme was a great success and received very favourable responses from all the attendees. The programme created an effective platform for speakers and participants to exchange ideas and thoughts, and also enable them to form networks and collaborations.
