Last week, 7th Aug 2025, Dr. Giuseppe Timperio, Ph.D., The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific, National University of Singapore, was invited to the YCH Asia Supply Chain Summit 2025, as a panelist to share his expertise on humanitarian logistics with industry peers.
In these challenging times for the humanitarian sector—marked by a surge in both natural and man-made disasters globally and across ASEAN, alongside increasingly constrained resources—the need for broader ecosystem engagement in disaster preparedness and response has never been more urgent. The role of the private sector and academia in strengthening our collective capabilities is critical, and this has been one of the key topics we discussed in the panel.
We appreciated the forward-looking insights shared by our fellow panelists, as well as the many meaningful conversations that took place throughout the summit. We look forward to continued engagement and to jointly exploring innovative ways to manage the logistics of humanitarian responses.
Our most heartfelt congratulations to YCH on their 70th anniversary!
