MSc in Infectious Disease Emergencies (MSc IDE)

On 26 November 2025, we were delighted to continue our ongoing collaboration with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Centre for Infectious Disease Emergency Response (CIDER) as part of the MSc in Infectious Disease Emergencies (MSc IDE) programme. This session is part of a broader series of engagements that The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific is delivering for this cohort.

As part of this partnership, Prof Dr Robert de Souza conducted an interactive session on “Outbreak Control: Academic Perspectives, Frameworks, and Real-World Case Studies,” introducing students to the vital role of logistics and its challenges in health emergency response.

The class was further strengthened by a group-based mini exercise led by Dr Giuseppe Timperio, Ph.D., where students worked through “Key Logistics Factors to Consider in a Response Plan.”

We’re proud to support NUS CIDER in developing future leaders equipped to respond to infectious disease threats through rigorous, practice-oriented learning.

We wish all students a fruitful and inspiring learning journey as they deepen their expertise in infectious disease emergency response.

A sincere thank you to the NUS CIDER team — Prof Dr Dale Fisher, Director; Dr Louisa Sun, Deputy Director; Dr Claire Canning, PhD; and the wider team — for their continued partnership and support.
