Hybrid

On Thursday, 17 April 2025, we were honoured to be invited once again to Prof. Nugroho Artadi Pujowidianto’s MSc IE5105 class at NUS to share our online last-mile delivery simulation game – Logistics Rush.
The session, led by our Game Master Mr. Zaaba bin Abdul Rahim, was hosted via Zoom. Most students joined onsite at the NUS Engineering Auditorium, while others tuned in remotely.
In the game, students took on the role of a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Manager. Their mission: to deliver goods from the Distribution Center to shopping malls – on time and with efficiency.
They experienced the real-world challenges LSPs face every day, including:
  • Selecting delivery jobs for the next day
  • Optimizing vehicle routes and loads
  • Managing fleets
  • Bidding for unloading bay time slots
It was an engaging session full of strategy, decisions, and fast-paced logistics thinking – and we’re thrilled to be part of their learning journey!
The game's trailer is available for viewing here: https://tliap.nus.edu.sg/outreach/tliap-go/video-trailer/

20 Feb 2025

NUS

We are honored to have been invited by Prof. Nugroho A. Pujowidianto to share our serious gaming initiatives with his students in the IE5105 class. As part of the session, we facilitated a game experience using our Emergency Relief Mission game.
In this fast-paced decision-making game, players are tasked with ensuring timely and continuous delivery of relief items to the disaster-affected population. They must analyze both current and historical data to anticipate and prepare for the needs of the affected community, evacuate individuals to temporary shelters, and assemble the required supplies for on-time delivery. Efficient management of assets and resources is crucial, as players work to optimize their deliveries and provide effective aid in a crisis.

NUS

On 3rd February 2025, the team in The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific, facilitated a game session for the NUS MSc SCM class featuring our latest title, The Grain Trail.
This multiplayer, browser-based game simulates a rice supply chain, where players take on roles such as government, farmer, middleman, wholesaler, or retailer. The goal is to ensure the availability, stability, and fairness of the rice market throughout the game.
Players' strategies are put to the test as they navigate disruptions like supply and demand fluctuations, extreme weather, natural disasters, and festive demand, all of which challenge their ability to maintain a balanced supply chain.

Invitation from Griffith Business School, Griffith University, Australia

24 Sep 2024

Hybrid

We were honoured to be invited by Associate Professor Yong Wu, Director of Research, Department of Business Strategy and Innovation, Griffith Business School, Griffith University on Tuesday, 24th September 2024, to facilitate a humanitarian serious game session, Emergency Relief Mission, for his 3157IBA Supply Chain Innovation and Optimisation class.
The session, facilitated by our game master, Za'aba Abdul Rahim, successfully included participation from both in-class and online students, connected via Microsoft Teams. The game provides students with a risk-free environment where they can practice their acquired knowledge and apply it to a simulated real-world disaster crisis scenario, without incurring the potentially large and expensive setup costs to recreate a disaster.
Through the game, students explored the potential applications of decision support tools in disaster preparedness and response, gaining insights into the risks and forecasting challenges associated with humanitarian asset and resource management. They also examined the possibilities of anticipatory action to bridge the gap between long-term disaster risk reduction efforts and immediate humanitarian crisis responses.
At the conclusion of the session, we collected valuable feedback and insights from the students regarding their learning experiences and key takeaways from the game.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Assoc Prof Yong Wu for this opportunity to engage with his students and looking forward to more future collaborations together.
